General waste is also known as Residual waste. Waste can be defined as unusable and unwanted materials. General wastes are those unwanted materials or things from households, businesses and various sources that are incapable of recycling. It basically includes materials as polythene, non-recyclable plastics, kitchen scraps, and packets, etc.
Historically, general waste has regularly been disposed of to open space or landfills. To some extent general wastes are still been exposed on landfills. However, in the present era of modern technological development, there are a number of alternatives for dealing with the unusable and unwanted materials.
General Waste That Can Be Re-used:
- Vegetables peels
- Office waste (boxes, plastics, paper, glass, etc).
- Appliances and furniture
Thus the modern technological method of dealing with the unwanted material or general waste of households and commercials can re-ensure the value of the unwanted materials in form of energy. Energy can be generated from the unwanted general materials.
